As a prelude to In-Side-Out-Side-In, Site Gallery presents New Gestures - a showcase of performance art happening over the weekend of 2 - 3 September. The programme builds on a long history of platforming performance art at Site Gallery, bringing fresh perspectives to the city.
On the Friday evening, the gallery will host The Conference by Harriet Middleton Baker, bringing together four performers acting as delegates at an annual summit. The delegates perform a duet centred around a keynote-style presentation accompanied by a live cellist. This will be followed by dynamic DJ and musical performances from Sheffield collective Gut Level.
On the Saturday, artist Laura Wilson will present a live script reading of new audio work Gutted, delving into digestive processes, and Hannah Buckley and Hollie Miller will share Blood, Bone, Breath, a dance performance exploring intimacy and the body.

Kollective Kitchen will be open for drinks and food throughout the weekend. Site Gallery is wheelchair accessible and there are accessible toilets on the same floor.
