As a prelude to major exhibition IN-SIDE-OUT-SIDE-IN, Site presents New Gestures – a showcase of performance art happening this Friday and Saturday (2 – 3 September).
On the Friday evening, you are invited to attend The Conference by Harriet Middleton Baker, bringing together four performers acting as delegates at an annual summit. The delegates perform a duet centred around a keynote-style presentation and accompanied by a live cellist. This will be followed by dynamic DJ and musical performances from Sheffield collective Gut Level.
On the Saturday, artist Laura Wilson will present a live script reading of new audio work Gutted, delving into digestive processes, and Hannah Buckley and Hollie Miller will share Blood, Bone, Breath, a dance performance exploring intimacy and the body.
