We are incredibly grateful to announce that we have secured major funding from Arts Council England’s 2023-26 Investment Programme.
£959,661 has been offered over 3 years representing standstill investment from ACE and enables Site to drive forward an ambitious programme of contemporary art for the people of Sheffield.
Arts Council England’s ongoing support of Site Gallery recognises the value we play in Sheffield and the region in bringing the very best of contemporary art to the people of South Yorkshire. Site works in partnership with local, regional and international collaborators to nurture artistic talent and support the development of contemporary art. Specialising in moving image, new media and performance, we connect people to artists and to art, inspiring new thinking and debate through exhibitions, talks, events and other public activity.

“I want to say a huge thank you to Arts Council England for renewing their investment in Site Gallery. These are challenging times for the arts and this investment represents around 50% of our annual income. It will support us to continue offering a free year-round programme of contemporary art to all in our city and beyond and we look forward to continuing to build partnerships with artists, communities and organisations over the coming years.
We send congratulations to other organisations who have received funding offers today, and especially those in South Yorkshire who are new to the portfolio. Our hearts go out to those who did not receive the news they were hoping for.”
