Kitted out with M1 Apple iMac computers and M1 Macbook Airs, each with the Adobe Creative Cloud installed including Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator and Premiere, the suite is open to artists with a project in mind, or those who want to test and explore new creative ideas.
The suite runs adjacent to Site’s digital skills programme New Tricks. New Tricks aims to demystify the technology employed by artists and give participants the skills they need to set them on a path of creative exploration.
The Community Editing Suite was developed with the support from Sheffield Culture Consortium and Sheffield City Council through the Freelancers’ Art Fund.
The idea was developed through feedback local artists and young people who wanted to use creative software but didn’t have access to the right technology and software.
The suite will be free to hire on an hourly basis.
