Platform alumni artist Rory Pilgrim returns to present the final piece which grew out of the time he spent with Sheffield women reflecting on their hopes, fears and dreams.

Sacred Repositories N.3: The Open Sky draws together the spoken word, performance, and poetry of five women who lived through radical movements of the 1960s and 70s. Their reflections on shifting ideas of freedom, identity and opportunity are overlaid with song from women from a younger generation. Moving between expansive images of sky and space into an old working men’s club, Sacred Repositories N.3: The Open Sky aims to hold a space where words can be transformative, powerful tools of action.

Opening Event, Tuesday 21 June, 6 – 8pm
In Conversation: Rory Pilgrim and Reba Maybury
Sacred Repository N.3: The Open Sky was screened at Flat Time House London in 2015, and as part of the film programme at Art Cologne. In 2016 it travels to Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, Rotterdam.
