Opening 28 September, 5pm — Plan your visit

Overhang is an inventive and witty look at two apparently unrelated viewing technologies. In the gallery a life-size reconstruction of the rear of a coach confirms that an adjacent set of projections depicts a holiday landscape seen on the move. But something is wrong: the projected horizon turns, like that in a flight simulator, and we realise that the vehicle from which it was seen has fallen over. The visual narrative and carefully placed projectors combine to reveal a hitherto neglected juncture in the history of photography.
