In 2023 Sheffield City Council secured funding* to invest in Sheffield-based arts, heritage and cultural organisations to deliver impactful arts programmes of outreach, engagement, and participation between April 2024 – March 2025. The total investment of £180,000 was intended to address inequality of access to the arts across the city; and 12 organisations were awarded grants to deliver their programmes.

Join us at this event, to hear from some of the funded organisations who will share what they did, how they worked with their communities, what they learned and what’s next for their projects. We’ll also have an open discussion about what we think is needed in future to invest in this type of programme and how it can deliver Sheffield City Council’s Culture Strategy.

Speakers include

Finn Warman, Andro & Eve
Teo Greenstreet, Greentop Circus
Polly Ives, Concerteenies
Mike Thompson, Ritetrax
Emily Thew, Rivelin Co
Dom Heslop, Slambarz
Sally Proctor, The Bare Project
Dr Hawa Yatera, Unite Women Affiliation
