Learn about rural and urban food identification – what you can and can’t eat, and how you could prepare it.
This found food event marks the start of Glen Stoker and Anna Chrystal Stephens’ Platform Residency, There Are No Firm Rules. The artists will be making a 48-mile journey from Stoke-on-Trent to Sheffield, on foot. Over the course of the walk, they will be attempting to sustain themselves with food they find along the way.
At this informal welcome event in the gallery they will be discussing different uses of plants found in rural and urban settings, recreating some of the meals they had during the walk for guests to try, and sharing some thoughts and experiences from the project so far.
