Learn how to capture field recordings and build soundscapes from them.
Our New Tricks workshops aim to demystify the technology employed by artists and give participants the skills they need to set them on a path of creative exploration.
In this session we will collect field recordings using our Zoom H4N recorders and different types of microphones. You’ll go into Sheffield city centre to collect sounds, before coming back to Site Gallery to label the clips and share them in our studio space with the rest of the group.
This workshop will include an induction to our Community Editing Suite. You will be able to make bookings and use our facilities to continue your projects in your own time.
Suitable for adults and families taking part together.
Accessibility
This event will take place on the ground floor of our building which is wheelchair accessible. There are accessible toilets on the same floor. Local travel expenses are available to help you access our public programme.
