Family-Friendly Inflatable Air Puppets Workshop with Rosie McGinn

Create an inflatable skydancer air puppet inspired by your favourite fictional characters led by artist Rosie McGinn.
Come and learn how to make your own inflatable raving air puppets with Rosie McGinn. Using industrial fans we will design and assemble our own air puppets, complete with flailing arms that will dance around the gallery!
Inspired by our Fake Fans exhibition, you will make your own bootleg version of your favourite fictional character.
There are two workshops to choose from, on:
12th August, 2pm – 4pm
13th August, 11 – 1pm
These workshops are suitable for audiences aged 10+
Intergenerational collaboration is encouraged. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Accessibility

Artists
Rosie McGinn (b. 1993, Maidstone) is based in London and Kent. McGinn’s practice explores the human tendency to chase moments of ecstasy, whether it’s winning at Bingo, scoring a goal or jumping from space. These rituals observed within the practice often explore our relationship with transcendence and extreme human achievement. McGinn primarily works with kinetic sculpture, inflatable installation, video and painting.
