Our Community Editing Suite is a free resource for artists and creatives in Sheffield who need access to computers and software.

The suite is fitted with M1 Apple iMac computers each with the Adobe Creative Cloud installed including Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator and Premiere. It is open to artists with a project in mind, or those who want to test and explore new creative ideas.

How to book:

Please email Peter Martin. You will then be contacted to arrange an induction to using the suite. Once you have been inducted, you will be sent the booking form and will be able to access the suite during gallery opening hours (Tuesday – Saturday 12 – 5pm).

The Community Editing Suite runs adjacent to Site’s digital skills programme, New Tricks. New Tricks aims to demystify the technology employed by artists and give participants the skills they need to set them on a path of creative exploration.

If you would like to be notified about future skills based workshops please sign up to our newsletter by following the link on our homepage.

“The Community Editing Suite has become an invaluable part of my practice, allowing me to work in ways that previously were beyond my means. The machines are very powerful and enable me to work with HD footage without any difficulty whatsoever.”

– Tyler Mellins

Having the space in the gallery is hugely important as without it many people have no other means of accessing the wide range of tools available in the Editing Suite, and I think it speaks volumes to fulfilling the commitment of Site Gallery of being a community space, as well as facilitating first-hand engagement with art through hosting a creative working space open to all.”
