Volunteer Opportunities

Site Gallery offers voluntary positions throughout the year for individuals wishing to gain experience in a contemporary art gallery environment.
You will receive one to one training in many areas from arts administration to front of house responsibilities, and be offered a thorough insight into the running of a contemporary art gallery. You may also gain experience in fields of technical setup, installation, design, marketing and communications. You will become a key member of a highly motivated team.
We will work hard to ensure volunteering at Site Gallery helps you build the essential skills, experience and confidence to enhance your future career prospects, and help you to identify fields of work you may like to pursue in the future.
Volunteering here requires a commitment of one day a week during gallery opening hours (Tuesday – Saturday, 11am – 5.30pm). We also ask for support from volunteers during exhibition previews and events (usually 6pm – 8pm).
Volunteer positions are reviewed every 3 months to ensure that you are getting the most out of your time here.
Expenses for travel and lunch are covered (up to £5.00 per day). Applicants will preferably be based in the Sheffield area.
