The Transmission Programme 2014/15 lecture series examines the process and thinking – the how and why – of becoming an artist, with guest speakers including artists, writers, curators and academics. It is a collaboration between Site Gallery and Sheffield Hallam University.
The lecture series is free and open to the public.

Date/time: Every Tuesday from 4:30-6.00pm, followed by either an open seminar discussion at 6:00-6.30pm or an event at Site Gallery (see below for more details and how to book).
Meet and walk together: You can join a member of the Site Gallery team to walk over to the university, meeting at Site Gallery reception at 4.15pm prior to every lecture.

Drinks with Simon & Tom Bloor
Following their Transmission lecture, join recent Platform artists Simon & Tom for drinks and discussion back at Site Gallery. You will hear about their residency experience and explore some of the sculptural objects that were tested and made during Simon & Tom‘s Platform residency, Planning for Play. You will also see a few of their inspirations, such as vintage books on playscapes and images of Sheffield’s own play architecture.
