Opportunities

Site Gallery operates an internship programme, offering positions throughout the year to individuals wishing to gain experience in a contemporary art gallery.

Currently these positions are for Front of House assistants, to work as part of a highly motivated team.  Experience working with the general public, good communication and computing skills are essential, and knowledge of contemporary art is desirable. You will receive one to one training in arts administration, Front of House responsibilities and gain invaluable insight into the running of a contemporary art gallery.

Placements are usually for one day a week (10am – 5.30pm), Tuesday – Saturday. Each internship is reviewed every 3 months to ensure that you are developing essential skills and experience to enhance your future career prospects. The positions are voluntary, travel and lunch expenses are covered as part of the internship (up to £5). Applicants will preferably be based in the Sheffield area.
