Do you live in Sheffield? Are you aged 14-19 years old? Are you creative, interested in art, architecture, or film?

We are looking for young people to get involved in our On The Road project. We need motivated young people to help us create an amazing mobile gallery space ready to roam around Sheffield. It will be a magical making space where local and international artists will work with Sheffield’s young people.

Get involved with the design, the making and the filming of the project or help organise the incredible events we have coming up. You will gain really valuable experience, be part of the gallery team at an exciting time for Site Gallery and the Sheffield arts scene.

We are working with highly acclaimed London architects/artists Public Works on this very special project. They’re coming to Sheffield for monthly workshops to get to grips with the soul and the geography of the city, and figuring out how the van can be transformed from Peugeot Boxer to mega mobile gallery. The workshops will be on Saturdays, 12 – 5pm, dates TBC.

If this sounds like it might be up your street and you want to come to one, two or all of these days out, get in touch! Email our Participation Manager, Paula McCloskey at paula.mccloskey@sitegallery.org or call on 0114 281 2077 and she will give you more information.

Everyone who gets involved, in any capacity, will be invited to join our young people’s collective the Society of Explorers. We can support you to work towards your Artsaward (bronze, silver, gold) if that’s what you would like to do, or you can just come for the free snacks and chat!
