Andro and Eve and Site Gallery are looking for participants aged 14-18 to help us develop and create a new zine that shares the need for safe spaces for LGBTQI+ young people in Sheffield.

As part of the project you will receive Gender Awareness training from Andro and Eve and collaborate with them to create your own work. The completed zine will be distributed to venues across the city and will be a call to action to make venues more accessible and inclusive spaces.

We are limited to 20 spaces in total, including members from our Society of Explorers programme. If you would like to take part you must be available to take part in workshops on 11, 18, 25 May, and 8 June between 5-7pm. Sessions will take place on the ground floor of the building and are wheelchair accessible. Accessible toilets are also on ground level. Food and drink will be provided and local travel expenses can be provided if this is a barrier for you attending sessions.

If you’d like to take part, have any questions, or if we can do anything to improve your visit then please email alfie.heffer@sitegallery.org

Andro and Eve celebrate queer culture through memorable events that inspire. They are the creators of queer cabaret, A Reyt Queer Do, and The Kingdom Come, drag king cabaret and facilitate Gender Awareness training. Since 2020 they have produced two zines in collaboration with their community.

The Society of Explorers are a collective of creative 14-18 year olds who meet every week at Site Gallery.
