A conversation with Anna Barham and Joanna Gavins, Senior lecturer in literary linguistics, School of English, The University of Sheffield.

For the past ten years Joanna Gavins has been involved in the development of Text World Theory, a cognitive-linguistic model of human discourse processing, and its application to literary discourse in particular.  She will give an introduction to her research and discuss some of Anna Barham’s works through these ideas.

This conversation forms part of a series of events taking place in the galleries at Site, as part of Anna Barham’s residency Suppose I call a man a horse, or a horse a man?  from 9 February – 23 March 2013.
