Join DJ collective Synaptic Island for Spinning Wrists, a listening session for female, non binary and trans identifying people and local collectives, focussed on sharing influences and references points in sound, music and sampling.
The theme for this session is Restoration – bring a song that responds to this, on a USB. This can be a song you produced yourself, but doesn’t necessarily have to be. The track will then be collectively listened to and discussed. There is no right or wrong!
About Synaptic Island
Synaptic Island are a DJ collective that host bi-monthly listening sessions, and regular open deck sessions and workshops at Corsica Studios, London open to female, non-binary and trans identifying people. They aim to create space that enables peer-to-peer learning and access to music resources employing DIT (Do It Together) methodologies. Synaptic Island have a radio show on Resonance FM
