Young people from our Society of Explorers group and Red Tape Central invite you to this live performance mash-up of musical genres, video and dance, developed with Harold Offeh as part of Cutting Shapes.

A multi-media performance involving Hype Dance Studios and young participants juxtaposes videos and live dancers in a high-energy new work. Live music from Red Tape Central students mixes influences from hip-hop to blues and metal to electronica, drawing attention to the fragmented nature of youth culture in the digital age.

“It’s about the way that we interact with dance and digital media together, and the way our attention span has lowered. It expresses how we are very selective about what we see in the modern world, and how this is enabled by the internet.”
