Going Public Summit

Join us for a day of discussion and debate, exploring how public art galleries and philanthropists might work more closely together in the 21st century.

What roles might private collectors, public institutions, galleries and government play in enabling great art to be commissioned by, exhibited and collected in regional cities such as Sheffield?

The summit is free, but advanced booking is essential.

The summit is hosted by Sheffield Hallam University and forms part of Going Public: International Art Collectors in Sheffield, 15 September to 12 December 2015.

The afternoon will feature four panel discussions and a plenary session hosted by Sheffield Hallam University and Sheffield Cathedral. Delegates are asked to advance book on either OPTION 1 (Sessions 1 & 2 at Sheffield Hallam University) or OPTION 2 (Sessions 3 & 4 at Sheffield Cathedral).

Please note that time has been allowed for delegates to travel the short distance between the two venues at lunchtime and prior to the plenary session.
