Join us for the exhibition preview of Advantage by Jason Minsky

Thursday 10 May, 6.00 pm – 8.00 pm

What gives you a competitive edge? Do you rely on a lucky charm, a herbal remedy or do you reach for the pillbox?

Jason Minsky’s Advantage, is both an incredible observation of the micro movements of athletes, and a performance space for the viewer to humorously reflect on the range of choices we all make to improve our competitive advantage. Minsky is interested in sport activities as sites of everyday performative interactions; he once turned a gallery into a velodrome and has created this new work through a residency with one of the world’s leading Sports Science departments at Sheffield Hallam University.

Advantage is part of Extraordinary Moves, a strand of Imove, a Cultural Olympiad project for Yorkshire.

Imove is funded by the Legacy Trust UK; creating a cultural and sporting legacy from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games
