Update July 2009
Artists Rebecca French and Andrew Mottershead continue on their residency and performance programme which will culminate in an exhibition, publication and conference at Site in November 2009. Co-ordinated by the gallery, the artists have been travelling to Brazil, China, Turkey, Romania, Slovenia and back to Sheffield to engage with a wide range of communities and audiences as part of their Shops project. The Shops project invites owners and their customers to become involved in an artwork through the process of participation and exchange. Throughout the project, FrenchMottershead have been keeping a blog space which can be viewed here. In August 2009 FrenchMottershead will be resident in Sheffield.
