A Site Gallery, Sheffield Doc/Fest and Crossover co-commission
Opening event: Friday 5 June, 4:30 – 8pm

Contemporary art, gaming and immersive technologies collide in this test-bed project, exploring the limits of virtual reality. New work and interactive content will be experienced through Oculus Rift, Gear and VISR virtual reality headsets.

The exhibition includes the world premiere of Hola World, a Doc/Fest and Site Gallery commission, in which multi-media artist Oscar Raby presents a psychedelic journey through a digital Arcadia; Oscillate from Brendan Walker at the Thrill Laboratory features an immersive interactive art installation incorporating the simple childhood pleasure of a rope swing with the 21st century Oculus Rift; Grayson Perry gives an interactive tour of his ‘A House for Essex’, a building showcased in the recent Channel 4 TV programme; and Clouds Over Sidra, a project commissioned by the United Nations, looks at life in a refugee camp in Jordan through the eyes of a 12 year old.

The works and artists featured in the exhibition are:
