This very special closing event will mark an historic moment for Site Gallery. We close our doors to the public the 10 March for a 12 month period, to allow building work to commence on our gallery expansion.
We want to mark the occasion with our friends and Site Gallery family, sharing with you details of our expansion and exciting plans for our offsite programme in 2017. This is a great opportunity to find out more from our architects, DRDH. We will also hear from Professor Prue Chiles (Prof of Architectural Design Research, Newcastle University), Pete Massey (Director North (Yorkshire) Arts Council England), John Mothersole (Chief Executive, Sheffield City Council) and artist Tim Etchells (Director, Forced Entertainment).
This will be followed by an informal drinks reception in the gallery.
We are exhibiting the architectural model of the expanded building, the floor plans and the vision for the project in Gallery 2 until the 10 March. Please do come and have a look, and share your thoughts about the project with us.
