As part of their visit to the FrenchMottershead Shops Project exhibition, which included an introduction from artists Rebecca French and Andrew Mottershead, art and photography students from various schools and colleges in the region were invited to interpret the theme ‘British Shopping Landscapes’, for a related photography competition.

The competition was judged by FrenchMottershead.
Individual feedback, certificated and prizes were awarded to:

1st:      Sarah Jones [Sheffield College]

2nd:     Colt Swift [RCAT]

3rd:      Beth Jenkinson [RCAT]

4th:      Ash Hayden Watkins [Doncaster College]

5th:      Jacob Hall [RCAT]

This Photography Competition is part of: Shopping Landscapes – a series of creative projects explored and produced by young people around the themes of shops and shopping. The work responds to the FrenchMottershead Shops residency and subsequent exhibition at Site Gallery [Nov ‘09 to Feb ‘10].
