'The Site Gallery is one of very few organisations in the UK in a position to support emerging and established artists working in new and innovative ways with new media. As such its reputation and reach is not only national but international, placing Sheffield firmly on the UK's cultural map. My own experience of working with Site Gallery was one of the most positive experiences I have had as an artist working with new media in the uk. Without their knowledge, experience and commitment, I doubt that my recent (technologically ambitious, internet streamed) exhibition, Transporting Skies, networked with Newlyn Art Gallery, Penzance would have been possible. Site is widely regarded as a model of good practice in relation to both the visual arts and new media, consistently encouraging ground breaking, innovative work, and should be actively supported as a major cultural asset to both Sheffield and the UK.'
