Immediate 2 follows on from our highly successful launch of this bi-annual project in November 1999.
The exhibitions features the work of 13 recently graduated regional artists working in a variety of media. Site Gallery production facilities are being used over the summer months for the residency and commissioning programme. 4 of the selected artists, Simon Backmore, James Brown, Anthea Hamilton and Janet Wang have been commissioned to produce a new work to be shown in the exhibition. Other artists include; Joe Woodhouse, Marco Salotti, Michelle Sank, Paul Johnson, Sandy Milroy, Shelly Heath, Simon Blackmore and Steve Hawtin. The exhibition takes place at venues throughout the Cultural Industries Quarter.
