Helen Benigson creates visceral environments concerned with weight, technology, sexy images and sounds. Weightless Utopias draws attention to and challenges cultural obsession with weight and desired physical shape, as well as exploring ideas around communal performance and sharing.
A new digital cyberspace animation and sculptural installation will be made during her Platform residency, with live performances in the gallery blurring the boundaries between performer, producer and spectator.

Closing Performance: Saturday 1 March, 7pm until late

A closing performance by Helen Carmel Benigson, featuring a simulated weight-loss support group meeting, choreographed weightlifters, live spray tan and Princess Belsize Dollar rapping.
The performance is followed by a closing party with live hip hop DJs and drinks.
