In tandem with the visual works, a sequence of free contemporary music events will take place in the gallery in a commissioned programme, curated by renowned experimental pianist Philip Thomas.
To coincide with the exhibition FrenchMottershead – The SHOPS Project, Site Gallery is organised a symposium exploring the materiality of shops and shopping.
This exhibition is the first solo show by artists Rebecca French and Andrew Mottershead and is the culmination of their two-year international SHOPS project bringing together a collection of intimate portraits of local shops and contemporary urban life.
