The artworks in the exhibition look at songs and music as a social phenomenon – particularly in relation to its manipulative, participatory, and activating qualities in the public realm.

Site Gallery presents the exhibition Sol LeWitt: Artist’s Books, the only UK venue of this international exhibition. Featuring more than 80 publications by LeWitt, the exhibition will be a chronological display of the artist’s visual books dating from 1967 to 2002, providing a rare opportunity to see a complete overview of LeWitt’s work in this form.
In tandem with the visual works, a sequence of free contemporary music events will take place in the gallery in a commissioned programme, curated by renowned experimental pianist Philip Thomas.
