Lindsay Adams worked as Artists in Residence at Site Gallery over a 12 month period to develop a collection of still images, audio and video tracks under the title of Water Shadows

In George Sluizer’s film, “The Vanishing”, the final denouement is terrifying. The point at the end of the film when the character “Rex” realises he is buried alive after which the camera comes above ground is extraordinarily disturbing and deeply uncanny.

An exhibition looking at the crossovers apparent within the media of photography, painting and film in the work of Uta Barth, Duncan Higgins and Carter Potter. In the work of each artist the content seems to lie not in what the images depict but elsewhere – meaning seems to have moved to the margins – to the frame.

Running Machine Performance
Performance and visual artist, Lisa Watts converted the upstairs studio into a ‘mini-gym’ to perform her two works for the sport and art festival, Pitchbend.

Horses and lens-based media came into conjunction with Eadweard Muybridge’s experimental photographs of a horse at gallop in 1872 which reversed the accepted beliefs about animal locomotion by proving that all four hooves leave the ground at once

Still is a solo exhibition of the work of artist Breda Beban from the former Yugoslavia, centred around a series of photographs and video works.
