One Swallow Doesn't Make a Summer

A video loop of a mechanical bird trapped in a building is accompanied by the sound of swallow calls as they return to Britain for the summer, traditionally in the first week of May. The poignant image of the bird on the projection screen was both within and without the building and makes reference to the freedom with which swallows cross boundaries during migration without a sense of the politics of space.Tabs, teasers and tormenters.
